Church Tours
Church Tours are scheduled throughout the festival. See program for times.

It is a pleasure for us at Nativity Church to share not only our Greek culture, but also our treasured Orthodox Faith. One way in which we share our faith is to lovingly welcome people to visit inside our Church building.
Some enter to light a candle and say a prayer. Others to browse around, curious to see the interior of an Orthodox Church. Many choose to take part in the regularly scheduled Church Tours; to experience the sights, smells, music and feel of the Orthodox world. During these tours, we have the opportunity to describe what we as Orthodox believe, and how we practice our beliefs. We can also explain church architecture, show and share descriptions of our icons, describe how we observe our holy days, and tell a bit of Church history.
So whether you wish to pop in for a moment, or stay for a while, please come inside and visit us!
Church Tour Hours:
Friday: 6:00 and 7:30 pm
Saturday: 1:00, 2:30, 3:30, 6:00 & 7:30 pm

The Nativity of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church was founded on April 6, 1975 as the first Greek Orthodox Church in the western suburbs of Detroit.

The parish began construction of the present church building in November of 1991 and was completed on March 14th, 1994. Future plans include the beautification of the interior of the church with iconography and the expansion of the cultural center.

Presently the Nativity Church is shephard by our newly assigned priest Fr. Nicholas Marcus who came to us from Grand Rapids, MI. Our parish is approximately 200 stewardship families and growing!
